A novel flame r<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-1541 size-thumbnail\" src=\"http:\/\/castoroil.in\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/PVC-150x150.png\" alt=\"PVC\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/>etardant chlorinated phosphate ester based on castor oil (CPECO) was synthesized. Its chemical structure was characterised with FTIR and NMR.<\/p>\n<p>Application of CPECO as a secondary plasticizer for PVC gained satisfied flame retardancy and substituted for dioctyl phthalate (DOP) partly. Increase in PVC blends was observed.
