But this process requires steps of neutralization and washing of the catalyst which increase biodiesel cost.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-1516 size-thumbnail\" src=\"http:\/\/castoroil.in\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/castor-oil-biodiesel-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"castor oil biodiesel\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Some heterogeneous and lipase catalysts are being developed to fight against some of these drawbacks.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Now scientists from India have performed an experiment to synthesise biodiesel from castor oil using ferromagnetic zinc oxide nanocomposite as heterogenous catalyst.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Results showed that ferromagnetic zinc oxide nanocomposite could help to achieve a biodiesel yield of 91% under milder reaction conditions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S0960148116301690\" target=\"_blank\">Source<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Recent study finds ferromagnetic zinc oxide nanocomposite as a suitable heterogeneous catalyst for biodiesel production from castor oil.
