They are of particular value as biodegradable, sustainable alternatives to nonyl phenol ethoxylates. Etocas and Croduret , both \u00a0\u00a0marketed by Croda, \u00a0are ethoxylated castor oil and ethoxylated hydrogenated castor oil respectively.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/castoroil.in\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/castor-oil-8000671.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-37\" title=\"castor-oil-800067\" src=\"http:\/\/castoroil.in\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/castor-oil-8000671.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"http:\/\/castoroil.in\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/castor-oil-8000671.jpg 200w, http:\/\/castoroil.in\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/castor-oil-8000671-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The emulsion characteristics judged were<\/p>\n<p>1. Ease of dispersion of the surfactant\/solvent mixture in water at 25\u00baC<\/p>\n<p>2. The particle size of the resulting emulsion<\/p>\n<p>Lower molar ethoxylates of castor oil are used as dispersing agents for oil based systems. They\u00a0 are generally considered to present no special hazards.
